Positive Feedback for VOW Training Event
VOW’s final cross category training event for 2016 has received positive feedback from the delegates and suppliers who attended the event on 29 September in Leeds. Held at the Village Club Hotel, Leeds South, this event brought VOW’s 2016 training calendar to a close, following regional training events held earlier this year in Leicester, Watford and Dublin.
The day was open to all VOW Venture Resellers and was a great platform for resellers, their sales teams and/or category champions to attend practical breakout sessions with 10 industry-leading suppliers from technology, facilities supplies and traditional categories, including: Deb, VOW Interiors, Robert Scott, BIC, 2Work Chemicals, Fellowes, SCA, Nimans, XGEM and Canon.
Delegates also heard from the experts on hand who delivered hints and tips to overcome sales objections and provide hands on experience of selling to end users.
Testimonials:
“We found the training day very informative. We have the VOW catalogue, but like others, cannot memorise every single product to sell to customers until we get asked for it. This kind of training day by VOW gives us ideas about what’s new and what we can sell to customers. We found the practical training particularly useful, especially the breakout sessions by Robert Scott and Fellowes. The venue was easy to get to and we received a great service by all who organised the event. We’ve now shared everything that we learned with our colleagues back at the office.” – Marianne Banton, Account Manager, Othello
“Personally, I’ve not had a lot of hands-on experience as I have a desk based job. However, I will be starting to go out to see customers very soon and VOW’s training day has been a good learning experience to get to know the products better. Learning about products first hand is very different to anything anyone can tell you about them as we can gain an informed perspective on things. In particular, I found the training session by VOW Interiors very useful as I not only got to learn about the products, but also found out about different sales opportunities. I felt like I was being helped to go out and sell!” – Max Billington, Account Manager, Heatons
“It was interesting to see the products first hand and learn about market developments and the opportunities ahead. There were also a number of new products from BIC and other suppliers, which are always good to learn about. I also found out more about the legislation around the FS area applicable to chemicals and what this means for customers.” Fred Fielding, Heatons
“Thank you to everyone at VOW for providing such a pleasant and straightforward training day. I really can’t think of any occasion in over thirty years in our trade, when I have learnt so many valuable facts in a single training day. We are full of ideas for promotions and progress in the market areas covered. It’s a great formula and deserves every success.” – Richard Jewers, Clavering Stationers
