VOW’s Product Conveyor Gains Momentum
VOW’s product conveyor is gaining momentum since it was fully implemented in January 2017. As part of the new product strategy, the conveyor process breaks the rigidity of the traditional merchandise and annual catalogue cycle to offer resellers VOW’s newest products in a timely manner.
Product Marketing Director Helen Wade explains, “Product life cycle is getting shorter and resellers need to have the right products at the right times to fulfil changing customers’ needs. Our new strategy eliminates product launch barriers such as catalogue production deadlines. Whilst we have a physical catalogue that serves as a useful sales tool with thousands of products, it is a snapshot of the extensive range available to resellers.”
Under VOW’s dynamic product strategy, VOW resellers can benefit from products being launched at any time during the year. Launches will be fully supported with a clear route to market through back office systems, reseller price files and our OP-Dealer ecommerce platform, right through to eye-catching reseller and end user marketing materials.
Helen adds, “In some cases and if all the pre-launch requirements have been met, we can see products being launched in as little as 10 working days, which is a huge step away from the traditional annual cycle of launching products. We have launched over 75 new products in the first quarter of this year with hundreds more products due for launch over the course of 2017. We’ve started the year on a great note by adding value through merchandising and giving our resellers more. We’re looking forward to continuing this in the months ahead.”
Some of the products launched by VOW in quarter one include: Mars confectionery bulk boxes, Golden Wonder crisps, Britvic drinks, postage stamps, 2Work Computer Cleaning Super Strong Wipes, Heavy Duty office chairs, MiVue Dash Cams, Virtual Reality Goggles, cameras, camcorders, cartridges and IT Headsets.
